Employing the slogan ‘You’ll see the best picture and hear the best sound’, the 6^th annual Home Cinema show in Prague revealed the very latest audiovisual concepts on offer in the Czech AV market today. This prestigious and unrivalled home entertainment exhibition is the largest of its kind in the Czech republic with over 150 industry leading brands represented. The central theme this year was the promotion of the ‘high resolution image’ with the main focus on new technologies for the coming decade such as HD TV, 3D imagery and D-Box Home theatre. This sector stole the headlines and drew the crowds but in reality, business seemed just as brisk, if not busier, among the audio brigade.  

Through our exclusive Czech Republic distributor, AQ s.r.o, The B-Tech range of AV mounting solutions as well as the complete range of Ventry flat screen mounts and accessories were on display and attracted a lot of visitor attention. Year on year, AQ’s prominence at this exhibition has visibly grown and with one of the largest booths and widest assortments of AV mounts and accessories, they are now regarded as one of the major players in Czech AV distribution.

With a chance to reflect on how the show went, Mr Vladimir Sapara - Managing Director of AQ s.r.o, remarked that ‘no doubt the emphasis was clearly on the new imagery technologies but the consensus of opinion suggested that this year we saw a real come back on the audio side of things especially regarding audio related accessories. Noticeably, product demand in the commercial installation and integration sectors had also significantly risen again. And for us, the same can be said on the consumer side but the clear difference is that retail is being increasingly swamped with so many competing brands and direct imports. All in all, we were very pleased with how things went. This year, we invested in a much bigger floor space to accommodate our ever widening product portfolio and this has paid off’
