The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has announced that Dubai is expected to have 155,000 new hotel rooms by 2020, with a further 10,000-plus rooms that need to undergo refurbishment prior to 2020’s event.

One of the biggest challenges that hotel property developers and operators face today is ensuring these upcoming hotels are tech-ready, current and cost-effective.

Dubai’s investment in transport hubs, infrastructure, entertainment and leisure has made it a popular tourist destination, along with strong growth in the MICE sector (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions).
