Thanks for attending the B-Tech’s annual Invitational Golf Day!
On the 8th of August, B-Tech welcomed 52 golfers from a range of our industry partners to our 5th annual golf day at the famous Collingtree Park Golf Club, a course designed by two-time major champion Johnny Miller.
The event was dedicated to our much loved and respected Spanish colleague Andreu Aguilar. A keen golfer in his day Andreu was struck by illness this February. With your help we raised £1000 for the British Heart Foundation and a charity of Andreu's choice. I am sure you will join us in wishing Andreu well in in his recovery.
The day kicked off with team parings, refreshments, a warmup on the driving range and a little putting practise - ready for the par 72 course ahead. The action got underway just after 10.30am with 18 holes of friendly competition. Completing the golf at 3.30pm, players retired to the club house for a well earned beverage.
Following some great networking and conversation, the late afternoon saw our partners take time to relax and enjoy a three-course meal overlooking the lake on the 18th hole. This was followed by an after-dinner presentation by B-Tech's Matt Nixon who we are most grateful to for all his hard work in organising such a successful and enjoyable event. Later we were regaled by B-Tech's own golfing raconteur Mirek Matwiejczyk and his unique brand of amusing stories and 'jokes'.
The event officially ended after the awards presentation, wrapping up a great day and a highly successful 2019 B-Tech Golf Invitational..
