After a two-year hiatus, B-Tech’s Invitational Golf Day returned for a special 50th anniversary edition of the event.
On the 29th of July, B-Tech were thrilled to welcome golfing representatives from our industry partners and customers to our 6th annual Invitational Golf day, held for the first time at the famous Frilford Heath Golf Club. Set amongst 500 acres of heathland to the southwest of Oxford city, the course was designed by Open Champion J.H. Taylor in 1908 and this year will host The English Trophy when the European Challenge Tour returns to British soil in September.
Our biggest and busiest event to date, the day was not only a wonderful way to celebrate 50 years of business but was also our way of thanking our incredible customers and partners. It was also nice to be able to use the day to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
After early morning refreshments and some putting practice, all teams teed off simultaneously under a shotgun start at 10:30 for 18 holes of friendly competition. Completing the golf at 3.00pm, players retired to the historic clubhouse for a well-earned beverage, and a superb BBQ.
The late afternoon saw a short and informative talk by UK Director of Operations, Mark Walker, followed by the presentation of the day’s awards by B-Tech Key Account Manager, Matt Nixon, who also acted as event organiser for the day and commented:
“It was a real pleasure to host the 50th Anniversary B-Tech Golf Day at Frilford Heath. With the sun shining down on the spectacular heathland course, 18 teams enjoyed a fabulous day of golf.
My special thanks go to all the Frilford Heath staff who made the day run like clockwork. The aim of the day is to reward our partners with a nice, chilled day off in a relaxed environment. I’m very proud of the whole B-Tech team for making the day exactly that.
Lastly, it’s amazing to see how much the B-Tech golf day has grown since we introduced it back in 2014 and I’m hugely thankful to those who attended to celebrate our 50th anniversary and who continue to support B-Tech AV Mounts. The reach of B-Tech and our loyal customer base never fails to amaze me and I’m very much looking forward to arranging the next one.”
