B-Tech AV Mounts aid local police force in Barcelona by supplying respiratory face masks from B-Tech Iberia. The B-Tech Iberia team in Barcelona recently responded to a plea for vital supplies of FFP2 graded respiratory face masks. The call came in from the local Sitges Police Force who urgently needed to fill a temporary gap in supplies of essential protective equipment. With a team of 75 officers covering 44 km2, they needed to continue their duties with minimal disruption to their brilliant and selfless work patrolling the region in quite extraordinary conditions never before witnessed. Making full use of B-Tech's global network of companies, Paul Haggarty, Director of Operations at B-Tech Iberia coordinated our response, working with our APAC operations, lead by Director of Operations Jenny Li, to rapidly source and dispatch high quality protective face masks. The Sitges Police force provided the necessary paperwork to clear customs and with the help of the TNT Barcelona office, we were able to deliver supplies to the force in just 3 days. Local Sitges police officer and president of Policías Locales - SFP union, Javier Alonso García commented, "Momentarily we found ourselves with no access to essential protective equipment. We put a call out and thanks to B-Tech’s quick actions, our Police Force is once again able to patrol the streets with the necessary level of protection that will help to keep our officers safe, so that we are able to do our upmost to keep the general public calm, informed, and above all, feeling safe and secure." Paul Haggarty added "During these incredibly difficult times, we truly appreciate the remarkable and selfless efforts of the Sitges Police force and all the Police forces across Spain. It also goes without saying the total respect and admiration we all have for the frontline healthcare teams as well as the essential workers at pharmacies, supermarkets, food and medical distribution centres, transport companies and all those who are putting others first to help combat the devasting effects of Covid 19, here in Spain and all around the world. We are glad to have been able to help in a very small way and will continue to do so if the need arises. In our industry, the whole of the AV community is doing its best to make supplies available to key areas. Here at B-Tech we have seen a huge increase in demand for monitor mounting equipment primarily for hospitals and care centres. Also there are significant requests for videowall and desk mounting solutions for surveillance/command and control room applications."
